LWML SELC District Met in Convention
The LWML SELC (Slovak Evangelical Lutheran Church) District met in convention May 20–22, 2016 under the theme “Body, Mind, and Spirit — Fit to Witness.” Over 30 men and women joined together in Tampa, Fla., as President Laura Bergmann led delegates in adopting six mission grants for the new biennium and electing Sharon Roegge as new LWML SELC District President. Wheat Ridge Ministries Director of Congregation Engagement Mark Schoepp presented a fun and interactive three-part seminar and event taught attendees how to juggle.
LWML CPC and EC Met in Albuquerque
The LWML Convention Programming Committee (CPC) and the Executive Committee (EC) recently met in Albuquerque, N.M., to tour the Albuquerque Convention Center in preparation for the 2017 LWML Convention. The convention center will provide the perfect backdrop for celebrating LWML’s 75th anniversary while the Harry E. Kinney Civic Plaza, adjacent to the convention center and pictured at right, allows attendees access to outdoor space for relaxation and informal photo opportunities.
