Your Mite Offerings Touch Lives!

Sally Handrick, chairman of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League’s Mission Grants Committee, recently presented LCMS Chief Mission Officer Rev. Kevin Robson with a check for 2015–2017 LWML Mission Grant: LCMS Disaster Response Trailers. LCMS Disaster Response will soon deploy 26 new disaster-response trailers around the country. The trailers will greatly increase the capacity of LCMS districts and congregations to respond to disasters in their own communities. Go to the LWML website to learn more about this grant.

Share this page at district, zone, and society events, and find ways to spread the word in your congregations. Your mite offerings make a difference!

Join Your Sisters in Christ in a Facebook Bible Study

The LWML is thrilled to announce a Facebook Bible study on spiritual gifts that will run every Monday through Saturday in May 2016 on our Facebook page. Participating in the online Bible study is easy and free! Simply visit the LWML Facebook page each day in May to view and answer a daily Bible study discussion question. The questions are based on the published Bible study, “Gifts, Chosen for You,” by Cheryl Mattil.

If you missed a post, no problem! The Bible study question slides (with their corresponding responsive comments) will be archived nicely in albums under the LWML Facebook Photo tab. May Gospel Outreach Resources

Each month one grant is featured on the LWML website with a Mission Power Poster, Devotion, Bulletin Bytes, Prayer Guide, and Story.

Mission Grant resources for May: LCMS Global Seminary Initiative — International Student Scholarships. This grant provides scholarships for international students to study at the graduate level at either of the two LCMS seminaries so they can return to their home countries and provide advanced theological leadership. Support for regional seminaries around the world is also included in this grant. Check out the website for more information on this grant.
