These Missions Need Your Help
March 31st is the deadline for your mission mite offerings to help fund 19 mission grants in the 2015-2017 Biennium. With God’s never ending love on your side, you can help raise the $169,435 still needed to reach the Mission Goal of $2,000,000. These LWML Mission Grants still need your help and prayer support:
Renovation of JEM Seminary Buildings
Every One His Witness Workshops
LWML LWML has a very special offer from The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Every One His Witness workshops are opportunities to learn how to reach out to the unchurched people you come in contact with in your daily life. These workshops are being shared with LWML at no cost. Workshop dates and locations are listed below along with LWML district email addresses. Registration is limited to 60 people at each workshop, so contact the district for more information and make your reservations as quickly as possible. Please share this information with all women in your area.

Senior Counselor Rev. Dr. Robert Roegner agreed to shave off his beard during the January 2017 LWML Board meeting if $2,500 or more was raised for Mite Offerings. Giving thanks to God for the generous response from Board of Directors members and friends from around the country, over $8,900 was raised for the 2015-2017 Mission Goal.
Board members also brought Gifts from the Heart (material items given to Christian mission service organizations) for Christian Friends of New Americans.This is a Recognized Service Organization of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod which offers a range of programs and services for New Americans. Two hundred personal hygiene items and $825 in cash and gift cards were collected.
Best Practices for Ministry
Lutheran Women in Mission will be at the upcoming Best Practices for Ministry event hosted at Christ Church-Lutheran in Phoenix, AZ between February 23rd and 25th. Patti Ross, President; Carol von Soosten, Public Relations Director; Kelley Young, Director of Finance & Administration; and Ashley Jenkins, Marketing & Communications Manager will be presenting “75 Ways to Serve the Lord with Gladness in Your Mission Field” at one of the sessions during the conference. Early registration for LWML 37th Biennial Convention opened on February 1, 2017. All information regarding the convention can be found on www.lwml.org/2017-convention
We hope you’ll join us in New Mexico between June 22-25, 2017. On Saturday June 24, there will be a special Diamond Dazzle event to highlight LWML’s past and look toward our future.
