2019 LWML CONVENTION
Jubilee Junction
All Aboard!
Did you know that a train runs through the Mobile Convention Center? Although this is a freight train and not a passenger train, “ride the rails” and “get on board” to the 2019 LWML Convention in the Mobile Convention Center!
Continuing on the train theme, did you know that at the 2019 LWML Convention, over 67 LCMS ministry exhibit booths will “couple” together like train cars in jubilation in the Mobile Convention Center Exhibit Hall – Jubilee Junction? Get your “ticket punched” and join the celebration! Be sure to “hop” onto the Lutheran Emergency Response Team (LERT) Trailer, receive consolation from the Comfort Dogs, and capture all the fun on your camera at the PHOTO OP exhibit!
For engaging, equipping, encouraging, and enjoyable experiences, be sure to visit the LWML Committees’ booths, Past LWML Presidents’ and Archivist-Historian’s booths, LWML Gifts of Love booth, and of course the LWML Store – Magnolia Mercantile.

LUTHERAN WOMEN IN MISSION
Zion Lutheran Women in Mission, Bethalto, Illinois, recently stopped by the LWML Office while touring the Concordia Seminary St. Louis campus.
The LWML Office staff invites you to drop in and visit with them, and view the beautiful new office location.
Look for the LWML sign out front of Loeber Hall.
Dear LWML,
Over 50 years ago LWML’ers voted to disburse $85,000 of mite offerings to the Star of the North Lutheran congregation in Kenai, Alaska, for building a sanctuary. The congregation will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Sanctuary Dedication on June 1st. Please remember us in your prayers as we celebrate the power of Mites!
Your Sister in Christ, Linda Swarner
Jean Joslyn submitted the following article for the LWML Minnesota South District eNews:
LWML women along with men and youth of Eternal Hope Lutheran Church, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, were very engaged in collecting cotton materials and sewing pillowcases. Saturday, January 19 was a busy and joyful day. We accomplished the sewing of 295 standard size pillowcases, plus their delivery to Children’s Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota, in Minneapolis. During the past seven years we have donated a total 1060 of these beautiful pillowcases to this Children’s Hospital.
During an April worship service, these pillowcases displayed and then blessed to share their beauty and purpose with all members of our Church.
LWML Minnesota North Past District President Virginia Ansorge will be 100 years young on July 14th. Pictured here is Virginia holding a hand-quilted quilt she has crafted for the upcoming Lutheran Island Camp - Christ Serve Ranch Quilt Auction. Virginia has been a supporter of and involved with the camp from its start. She was there with her husband, Rev. Karl Ansorge, and many other volunteers who helped with the construction of the causeway to the island.
