LWML Thanks God for You!
Thank you for supporting missions which, by the grace of God, will share Jesus’ love at home and around the world! Thanks to everyone who participated in LWML’s 2019 Giving Tuesday challenge. Because of you, approximately $37,719.78 was given for mission work on that one day!
This means that LWML, through your generous gifts, met the matching amount of $20,000 made possible by two generous donors. That brought the total donations to $57,719.78 given to support the 2019-2021 LWML Mission Goal. To God be the Glory!
LWML Website Survey
Please help LWML improve the official LWML website by taking a quick survey. There are only two days left to participate in this survey about website usage and help us serve you better. The survey is disappearing after December 13. Go to the survey here. Thank you.

First Mission Grant of the Biennium Paid in Full
On December 5, 2019, LWML Nebraska South District President Katy Gifford and LWML Past President Linda Reiser delivered a $50,000 check for 2019-2021 LWML Mission Grant #14 Hope and Healing Hub of Downtown Lincoln. The funds were received by Rev. Rich Boring, LCMS Nebraska District Assistant to the President in Outreach and New Ministries, LCMS Nebraska District President Rev. Richard Snow, and Paul Pettit, treasurer for the Nebraska district.
This grant will be used to expand the ministries of the University Lutheran Chapel (ULC) to reach students with the Good News of Jesus Christ. ULC, will provide Christian counseling services in a comfortable, easily accessible space to international students, and young adults in the downtown community. Please pray that the students and community members who use this Hope and Healing Hub might be drawn into a relationship with Jesus.
Another Mission Grant Paid in Full as Gracious Givers Share Blessings
On December 7, 2019, LWML Pacific Southwest District President Bonnie Karch presented a $100,000 check to Jay Zemke, CEO and President of Lutheran Braille Workers (LBW). Jay’s mother was a district president and always encouraged him to put his loose change in the Mite Box. He thanked LWML supporters who contribute to LBW, making it possible to reach out with the Good News of salvation. With this grant, LBW will be able to purchase a PUMA plate embossing device capable of creating the necessary number of zinc plates to meet production needs and continue to provide the Word in different languages.
