Prayers for Canceled and Postponed LWML District Conventions
Please join in prayer for our Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) sisters in Christ from the Kansas, Oklahoma, and Gulf States Districts. These three LWML districts were scheduled to gather in convention this week but, due to the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), they have either rescheduled or canceled their conventions.
Lord, we ask that You be with all these LWML members as they deal with disappointment in missing the business, fellowship, Bible study, and servant activities with fellow sisters from their district at this time. We also pray for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide the delegates from the Oklahoma District as they vote electronically this weekend to choose new officers and vote for their mission goal and mission grants for the coming biennium.
We pray for wisdom and strength for Brenda Piester (Kansas) and Dianna Just (Oklahoma) as they revise their convention plans to meet later this summer. We also thank our Lord for their four years of service as district presidents. We likewise remember in prayer Gwen Marshall, as she completes her first biennium as LWML Gulf States District President and looks forward to serving for two more years.
Lord, hear our prayers. Amen.
In His service, surrounded by HIS grace,
President Debbie Larson
