Spring Growth β What Joy!
Spring certainly brings variable weather and new growth.
In Isaiah 55:10β11 we read, βFor as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, β¦ so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose β¦β
Sharing Godβs Word comes with the promise that it will accomplish Godβs purpose. We may be the seed-sower, or the one who nurtures, but God gives the growth. (See 1 Corinthians 3:16β17).
Are you familiar with this verse? For you shall go out in joy β¦β (Isaiah 55:12a).
It is a lovely tie-in to the beginning of our mission statement β As Lutheran Women in Mission we joyfully proclaim Christ β¦!
This spring, I pray you find joy in sharing Christ, supporting missions, and serving others, knowing it is all part of Godβs plan for us.
