Education Loan Repayment Assistance Grants
Mission Grant #16 Partially Paid
On behalf of MinistryFocus, Rev. Ken Krueger accepted a $12,500 check presented by LWML President Patti Ross as a partial installment of $100,000 for LWML Mission Grant #16 — Education Loan Repayment Assistance Grant. Through Mite Box offerings, LWML Mission Grant #16 will be able to assist 23 called church workers with $2,500 each in repaying accrued educational loans.
Rev. Krueger told President Patti Ross that MinistryFocus will assist 23 called LCMS workers with loan repayment grants in 2018 and thanked the LWML with these words,"On behalf of these workers, their families, their ministries and everyone associated with MinistryFocus, many thanks to you and everyone in LWML who helped to make this possible. May God continue to bless you as you continue to serve Him!"

Mission Grant #11 Partially Paid
A partial payment check for $31,000 was presented to Rev. George Naeem from Biblical Orthodox Lutheran Mission on January 29th at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in Centennial, Colorado.

LWML Board of Directors Meets
The LWML Board of Directors (BOD) met January 25–27, 2018 in St. Louis, Missouri. President Patti Ross presided as members conducted the business of the LWML. Twenty-one senior district presidents attended their final board meeting and gave devotions and a farewell presentation. LWML Louisiana-Mississippi President, Anita Granger served as song leader and accompanist. LWML Pastoral Counselors Rev. Robert Mundahl and Rev. Mitchel Schuessler, led Bible study and worship service on Saturday before adjournment.

$1,559.65 in Mite Box Offerings Collected at LWML Board of Directors Meeting
The Feed My Sheep Mite Box
Did you know that at every LWML Board meeting, a large Mite Box lovingly decorated as a sheep by LWML Treasurer Marilyn Schroeder is used to collect Mite Box offerings? At the recent meeting, LWML National Board members contributed nearly $1,600 to benefit Mission Grants for the 2017–2019 biennium.

Gifts from the Heart for The Lutheran Hope Center

Gifts from the Heart were brought by the members of the BOD for The Lutheran Hope Center in Ferguson, Missouri. Executive Director Rev. Micah Glenn received the Gifts from the Heart of $1,070.00 and several children's books as presented by LWML President Patti Ross and LWML Vice President of Gospel Outreach Angelina Jauregui.
2019 Convention Logo and Theme Revealed
The convention logo and theme "In Praise to the LORD" for the 38th Biennial Convention was officially revealed last week. The LWML Convention will be held Thursday, June 20–Sunday, June 23, 2019 in Mobile, Alabama.

Mission Grant #6 — Lutheran Children's Books for Families Worldwide
Lutheran churches, missionaries, and new Christian families around the world will be provided with Bible story books, translated into their languages that teach children about Jesus. These brightly illustrated books, such as A Child's Garden of Bible Stories and Bible Stories in Pictures, are given free of charge to the parents and missionaries who need them.
