April Mission Grant Resources
You are serving Christ by helping six inner-city LCMS churches, their pastors, leaders, and members come together by serving their neighbors and providing food and shelter in New Orleans where many inner-city communities are still hurting 12 years after Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans has the third highest homeless rate with 1,700 homeless every night, much of this due to the Hurricane Katrina and loss of homes. The NOLA 4H churches work closely with other organizations to support various outreach ministries in supplying food, clothing, toiletries, Bibles, prayer books, counseling, and clinics. Your Mite Box offerings will go towards these ministries and equipping each of the six churches to serve more people.

District Convention Central Coming in Two Weeks
Joyous summaries of each LWML district convention held April through September 2018 will be provided in a special Convention Central edition of eNews. Take a look and read about all the happenings of Lutheran women and men on a mission around our country. Make plans to attend your district convention and be a saint counted in that convention number and pass along this information to others in your district.
Dear Father, we ask Your blessings on each person preparing for district conventions during this year of 2018. May You equip them with Your Spirit as You give opportunities to worship and praise Your Holy Name. And as they engage in support of their Mission Goal, encourage each member to generously give of their time, talent, and treasure so that each Mission Grant may be funded. Finally, Father, bless everyone in attendance as they enjoy celebrating Women in Mission. In Jesus Name and to Your glory. Amen.
In Praise to the Lord!

LWML hosts Concordia Seminary Vicars, Wives, and Deaconess Interns
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League had the pleasure of hosting a dinner for second year Concordia Seminary students on their beautiful St. Louis, Mo., campus March 19, 2018 to share words of encouragement and support in their ministry as well as to foster relationships of joyfully serving our Lord in His kingdom together. A newly produced video by the LWML Growth and Development Committee was shown which tells of the mission of the LWML and how Church Workers are encouraged to be a vital part of that mission. The Seminarians were given a gift from the LWML, along with materials such as the LWML Church Workers in Mission brochure containing information as to staying engaged and connected to LWML.
The LWML representatives were delighted to have Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Dale Meyer and Rev. Dr. Glenn Nielson and his Comfort Dog Noah participate in the evening event.
The LWML is the leading group for LCMS women where each woman is welcomed and encouraged to use her unique God-given gifts as she supports global missions and serves the Lord with gladness.
